Ducks pursuing DeSoto RB
The Oregon Ducks have the commitment of one of the nation's top running backs in Thomas Tyner, but it does not appear they will be done at the position for the Class of 2013. DeSoto (Tex.) standout Dontre Wilson is in contact with the Ducks and plans a visit to Eugene.
Duck Sports Authority caught up with the 5-foot-10, 176-pound speedster to get an update on his recruitment.
On film Wilson's 4.4 speed is obvious, an asset he has used his entire football career. What he is working on now is power.
"I weigh 176 now," confirmed Wilson. "In the weight room lot of what I have been doing is to build up my legs to make them stronger. My upper body is already pretty strong so I mostly have been working my legs."
In terms of type of running back, Wilson considers himself all-purpose.
"I can do all the running styles," assessed Wilson. "I like to think whatever the play that is called I will get the job done."
