Game Preview: Clemson at UVa
Virginia will begin the final third of its 2013 season this Saturday when the Cavaliers play host to No. 9-ranked Clemson at Scott Stadium (3:30 p.m. ESPN). This weekend's matchup will be the first between the two conference "rivals" since 2009 and the series won't resume until 2020.
The Wahoos are trying to stop a five-game losing streak and keep it from match the six games they lost in a row last season. Clemson, on the other hand, enters the weekend in 7-1 overall with the lone loss coming at the hands of undefeated Florida State two weeks ago. The Tigers have just two conference games remaining (at UVa and then Georgia Tech at home in two weeks) and are hoping the Seminoles stumble a couple of times, allowing them to sneak back into the ACC Championship hunt. Even if that doesn't happen, Clemson could get a BCS birth as a one-loss at-large team if the Tigers can win their remaining four games as they close out the year facing Citadel and then South Carolina on the road.
