Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway linebacker Shayne Hale (6-foot-3, 235 pounds, 4.5 seconds) is one of the top defensive players in the nation. Heading into his official visit to Virginia over the weekend, many felt that the team to beat for the four-star prospect's services was West Virginia. The Cavaliers were one of the first schools to offer to Hale. UVa was also the first official visit for the talented LB.
