Preview: UVa set to face SMU

After playing its five of its first six games in Charlottesville, UVa hits the road for the next two as the Cavaliers travel to Texas as part of the Chorpus Christi Challenge. Virginia (5-1) will face SMU (5-1) in the first game tonight (7:30 p.m., CBS Sports Network) and then play either Texas A&M (6-0) or Missouri State (5-0) on Saturday.


This game between UVa and SMU will be the first meeting between the Wahoos and Mustangs, who are coached by Hall of Famer Larry Brown. In their two games as part of the Chorpus Christi Challenge, the Mustangs beat Arkansas Pine-Bluff 87-61 and then topped Sam Houston State 72-53.
