BC, which came into Monday's game against No. 2-ranked Syracuse at 5-11 overall, was up by five midway through the second half. UVa, which came to Durham at 3-0 in the ACC, trailed by 12 with less than five minutes left. Both ended up losing but are admittedly facing very different circumstances going forward.
