CWS Preview: UVa vs Ole Miss

For the third time in six seasons, Brian O'Connor has led his Virginia Cavaliers back to his hometown of Omaha, where the Wahoos will take part in the College World Series once again.

UVa's trip will also be the third in school history, as the Cavaliers carry a 3-4 record into this appearance after sweeping through the Charlottesville Regional before taking the Super Regional from conference rival Maryland on Monday night in a convincing 11-2 victory.

Virginia, the nation's No. 3 seed heading into the tournament, is the highest remaining national seed in the eight-team field. The only other national seed left is No. 7 TCU, which is on UVa's side of the bracket as play begins this weekend. The Cavaliers, along with Vanderbilt, are listed as co-favorites to win the national title as the College World Series gets underway.
