DT Alonso saw what he needed to see at Virginia and made the call
When Miami (FL) Gulliver Prep defensive tackle Armando Alonso was on his way to UVa this past weekend, the possibility of ending his recruitment was certainly on his mind.
Ultimately, he says he found exactly what he was looking for during his brief time on Grounds.
"I came to Virginia to go to the camp and to visit," he told CavsCorner, "and it was amazing. They took me on a tour and I just loved it. I felt this feeling, you know? I felt like it was right. They want me here and it was just the right place for me to go.
"Everything," he added, "from the business school to the the team, it's just amazing. I loved it so much. So when they extended the offer, I just had to take it."
