Though they're thought of as "weekends," the first of this month's three live periods begins tomorrow and runs through Sunday late afternoon. Without question, this is the busiest time on the hoops recruiting calendar and for a school like UVa, which has to find numerous pieces in the 2018 class, it's even more important.

Typically, Tony Bennett and his staff have addressed needs and picked up commitments much earlier in the cycle. But a pair of factors have pushed the Cavaliers deeper into the year. First and most importantly, their top targets in this class have been higher-rated recruits, meaning many of them are comfortable extending the process and waiting to really focus on recruiting. The second factor is that Virginia has a wide open field, meaning the needs aren't as defined as they might typically be and the class has a number of open scholarships.

Either way, this puts the Wahoos (and their fans) in an unusual position and certainly means they'll be approaching the next three weeks with an even greater intensity.

Today, we're going to look at three top targets on the board and break down which prospects at those three positions are also very much under consideration by Bennett and his staff.
