Two days before his final semester of high school ends, three-star quarterback Brennan Armstrong will sign with UVa tomorrow and take another step on a journey that may not have begun in Charlottesville but it's where it will end.

Granted, the Shelby (OH) native won't start classes until the second week of January but suffice to say he can't wait to get going at Virginia and play for head coach Bronco Mendenhall.

One of UVa's top target at the position early on, the dual-threat QB chose Minnesota and figured his college career would be spent playing for the Gophers. But as they sometimes do, the early decision allowed for doubt to creep in. And that's when UVa began to re-enter the picture.

"It started when I was young," he told CavsCorner last week. "I think I was a sophomore when I got my offer from UVa and we built such a good relationship. I started to get more offers and interest and then I committed to Minnesota but UVa, which was a special place to me even then, respected that. They didn't try to get in there even though they were disappointed about my initial decision. They respected it and me. They didn't bug me. They just kept moving forward with their business and doing what they had to do to find good players at the position."

As time went on, and he began to wonder about his fit at Minnesota, UVa began to reengage.
