Given the way the class of 2018 turned out for UVa in-state and especially given the situation facing the Cavaliers on the defensive front, it's no wonder that Bronco Mendenhall and his staff have made defensive tackle a priority in 2019.

And thus far, they've made solid inroads with a number of quality prospects at that spot and that certainly includes 6-foot-6, 260-pound Indian River standout Ben Smiley.

Given how excited the three-star prospect was about his time in Charlottesville this past weekend, it seems like the Wahoos could be in line for a major pickup down the road.
