There's little doubt that, given its depth situation on the offensive line, UVa is in need of additions in the trenches. In 2017, the Cavaliers signed five and will likely look to bring in as many (if not more) in 2018 as well.

That's good news to three-star Oscar Smith tackle James Collins, who recently picked up an offer from Virginia and is looking to spend some time on Grounds soon.

A 6-foot-5, 297-pound lineman out of Chesapeake, Collins is getting early looks from several schools in the ACC. In addition to the offer from the Wahoos, he's also hearing from Duke, NC State, and Virginia Tech, among others.

"On a regular basis, mostly I've been hearing from UVa and Virginia Tech," he told CavsCorner this past weekend. "But outside of them, I'm also hearing from UNC, NC State, and Purdue. I've also been talking to Duke as well."

UVa came through with the offer when offensive line coach Garett Tujague reached out recently and the two had a great conversation, Collins said.

"He told me he liked my grades and liked the way I played and he loved what he was hearing about me," he recalled. "And that conversation led to him telling me that I had a full scholarship from the University of Virginia."

The offer came as a surprise and needless to say, it was a moment he won't soon forget.
