Not that long ago, three-star Southampton lineman Tyran Hunt was thinking an August decision felt right. Now, almost three months removed from that timeframe, he's coming out of his second official visit with two others lined up.

And he left Charlottesville this past weekend extremely pleased with all he saw and learned about UVa.

"Ultimately, I thought things out and coming down to it, these schools are great in terms of what they have to offer but I wanted more detailed specifics on what they each offered academically," Hunt told CavsCorner on Sunday. "Going to a school for an unofficial visit, it's great and they get to show you a lot but it's not as detailed as an official visit will be. That's when they get to take the time and everything is laid out for you and you get to ask questions and sit down with the academic staff and the coaches and you get to be around these people and the players, see the team on the field."

"I want to be somewhere where I feel like I'm family," he added, "somewhere where I feel like I'm at home, and somewhere where I know my education is being cherished to the ultimate standard."

After going to Syracuse for an official visit earlier this fall, the trip to UVa was the second of what he expects will be four officials with Maryland and Virginia Tech coming over the next few weeks.

The 6-foot-7, 270-pound lineman didn't arrive at UVa on Friday night until late due to his team's game that evening. But early Saturday morning, his trip got going and didn't slow down.

"I got to meet with one of the academic coordinators, Adam, and he really laid everything out for me and did exactly what I needed," Hunt recalled. "See, what I didn't understand about UVa was how my academic plan would be set up since UVa doesn't have a mass communications major. And Adam outlined for me a detailed portion of my major, media studies, and he really explained to me about how students at UVa who might not have been communication majors were still able to succeed in the field. He really showed me the full picture and did a lot of research and came with a lot of great information on what I'm really looking for. So that obviously went well.

"From there, I got to see the media trailer where they work the jumbotron and the video portion of things," he added. "They all talked to me about how they do that part and what they plan to do with the new ACC Network coming up and things like that. Then I went upstairs to the press box, which was amazing. I just loved it. It intrigued me a lot. I got to meet the ESPN commentators too and talk to them and I got to see a lot of things up close and live, which was great."
